Exercises for the shoulder
During sports or work, we often put a heavy load on the shoulders. This can sometimes cause problems that make daily activities very difficult. Often, it helps to do exercises that train the shoulder muscles and tendons.
Shoulder complaints
Overhead activities such as throwing and racket sports or painting the ceiling regularly lead to shoulder problems. But sitting behind a desk for a long time or repeatedly making the same movement with the arm can also cause shoulder pain. Even sleeping can become a problem. This is an overuse injury of the shoulder. Some muscles work too hard and others do too little. In short, the balance is gone. With the right exercises, you restore this balance.
Start now with exercises for the shoulder
Our physical therapists have created exercise programs for various shoulder complaints. The exercises start light and easy and gradually become heavier and more difficult. In this way, the shoulder becomes stronger and more stable. This reduces symptoms and pain. This puts you back in control of your shoulder issues and gets the shoulder back into shape. You perform the exercises independently using professional instruction videos.
An overview of all exercise programs for the shoulder can be found below. Not sure yet which condition you need an exercise program for? Then first do the self-check.
