Anatomy
Anatomy is from Ancient Greek and means "the study of biology". It describes the structure of the tissues of organisms. It tells how a body, plant, or animal is put together and which parts they consist of.
Within physical therapy, the focus is usually on human anatomy and mainly on the muscular system, the nervous system, and the skeleton. In addition, other parts of anatomy also play a role, such as:
- The skin
- The respiratory system
- The cardiopulmonary system
